A Breathtaking Picnic VR 1.1.8

The story of Tum-Tum Bear is once again brought to life through a virtual reality experience designed to convey an essential lifesaving concept in an engaging manner: immediate intervention during cardiac arrest is crucial, and in fact, it is a responsibility we all share. The application demonstrates that with just a few simple gestures—what users can quickly learn, perhaps through gameplay—one can effectively respond in emergency situations. This interactive approach encourages early engagement, inviting users to enter the enchanting forest world alongside children, listen to the narrative, and immerse themselves in the captivating VR environment of Picnic Breathtaking VR.

This initiative has been developed by Azienda USL di Bologna in partnership with the Italian Resuscitation Council and with support from Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna. Azienda USL di Bologna actively promotes awareness campaigns targeting cardiac arrest preparedness among the general population and school communities to enhance survivability rates.

Fondazione del Monte di Bologna e Ravenna contributed to the development of this application. The Italian Resuscitation Council (IRC), a non-profit scientific organization, has long been dedicated to intensive training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency response, organizing nationwide awareness campaigns such as "Settimana Viva" since 2013.

Breathtaking Picnic VR represents a modern evolution of the original "A Breathtaking Picnic" app, created by Elastico—a recipient of the Andersen Award in 2015—for the Italian Resuscitation Council. This project forms part of the "Kids Save Lives" initiative, supported by the World Health Organization, aimed at disseminating fundamental first aid knowledge within schools and families.
